Annual registration fee
The annual registration fee for a sole proprietorship is $35. However, you do not have to pay this fee for the year in which you registered for the first time or for the following year.

22 followed by 8 digits
the first of the 8 digits is from 4 to 9
the last of the 8 digits is a check digit.
To record your Québec enterprise number (NEQ) and pay your registration fees follow the steps below:
1 - On the "Left side menu on the Interview tab", select "Interview setup".
2 - On the page appearing on the right, go to the "Self-employment" icon and check the "Self-employed business income" and click "Next" at the bottom of this page.
3 - Return to the "Left side menu on the Interview tab " and select the "Self-employment income".
4 - On the right, select the option "Q438 - Quebec annual registration fee for the enterprise register (NEQ)".
5 - Complete the page accordingly.
