If you share your home with one or more roommates, none of which was your spouse and your overall monthly rent is less than $600, divide the monthly rent by the number of co-tenants to establish your share.

1 - On the left-side menu of the " Interview " tab, selects "Senior home support".
2 - On the screen to your right, choose the option "You lived in an apartment building (other than a private senior's residence)". In the page that appears, enter the relevant information, if the head of household or the spouse were 70 years or older at the end of the year are a dependent senior.
3 - Do not enter anything on the line "Did you live with one or more co-tenants? (Do not consider your spouse)" and on the following line.

However, if your total monthly rent is more than $600, do not divide the overall cost of monthly rent by the number of roommates. Nevertheless, you should consider point 3 above.

The program will calculate your percentage of eligible rent based on the number of co-tenants.
