Sharing tax credits between spouses - Schedule P - QuebecBy default, the program will grant the work premium to the person who has the highest income in a couple.
However, if you wish, you can share this credit for the work premium. To do so, please follow the steps below:
1. On the file of the person who wishes to claim a portion of the work premium, in the "Left side menu on the Interview tab", select "Quebec credits".
2. On the screen on the right, choose "Sharing tax credits between spouses on Quebec Schedules B, C, J and P".
3. On the page that appears, go to the line for "Quebec - Schedule P - Work Premium" and in the field on the right, select the appropriate option from the drop-down menu.
4. If you chose the "Claim portion of the tax credit" option, enter the amount you are claiming in the field preceded by the sign "$" and then click "Next" at the bottom of the page.
This amount will be transferred by the program on line 456 of your Quebec return.
