Tax credit for home-support services for seniors - Health EstablishmentYou live in a health establishment. However, you have received eligible services that are not provided by your health establishment.
The following services may be eligible for the Seniors Home Support Credit, mainly:
a) Dressing and hygiene services.
b) Nursing services.
c) Laundry services.
d) Civic support services.
NOTE: You cannot claim nursing services as part of the amount for medical expenses in Quebec.
However, they are eligible for the federal. When you claim these fees, you must click on the "Maple Leaf" icon to open a field for Quebec and enter $0,00.

To claim this tax credit, follow the steeps below:
1. On the "Left-side menu of the Interview tab", select the "Senior home support" section.
2. On the screen to your right, click on the plus sign "+" icon to the right of the line for "Lived in own house or in a health establishment".
3. A new page will appear in which you should enter the cost of the services claimed in the "Cost of home-support services" section.
The program will calculate the cost of the services you paid, and Schedule J will be generated by the program, indicating the services for which you are claiming credit.
The refundable tax credit for home-support services for seniors will be entered on line 458 of the Québec declaration.
Please keep your receipts for a period of six (6) years, if Revenu Québec requests that you provide certain documents.
