BC Sales Tax CreditThe program applies the BC Sales Tax Credit automatically. It is reported on lines 11 and 13 of the BC479 form (British Columbia Credits).
The sales tax credit is for low-income families and individuals.
If you qualify for this credit, the amount will be transferred to line 479 of the federal return.
For a couple, only one person can claim the credit. By default, the program gives it to the highest earner. However, if you want your spouse to receive this credit, follow these steps:
1- On the "Left side menu of the Interview tab", select ''British Columbia tax and credits".
2- On the screen on the right, choose the option "Assign British Columbia credits to one spouse or the other" in the page that appears make your choiceID: 20210921163251DE.xml
