Yukon Territory - Residence Information for Tax Administration Agreements - Yukon First Nations

The Government of Canada and the Yukon First Nations have entered into a personal income tax administration agreement which provides that the Government of Canada will share the field of personal income tax with the Yukon First Nations.

In the Yukon, the Canada Revenue Agency also uses the information in the "Residency Information for Tax Administration Agreements" section to administer and coordinate tax administration agreements between the eleven self-governing First Nations Yukon and the Government of Yukon.

For residents of Yukon - All individuals who reside on the Settlement Land of a self-governing Yukon First Nation, including those who are not Citizens of a self-governing Yukon First Nation, have to identify themselves as residents of the Settlement Land of the self-governing Yukon First Nation.

You must answer the questions in the section "Residency Information for Tax Enforcement Agreements". To do so, follow these steps:

1. On the "Left-side menu of the Interview tab", select the "CRA Questions" topic.

2. On the line "Did you reside within the Settlement Land of a Self-Governing Yukon Fist Nation on December 31, 2021?", answer the questions that follow.

3. On the line "Select the name of First Nation where you were living on December 31" line, choose the answer that suits you best from the drop-down menu.

4. On the line "Are you citizen of the Self-Governing First Nation?" in the drop-down menu on the right, answer the question.
