Basic personal amount - Federal line 30000The Canada Revenue Agency has made changes to the non-refundable credit to the 30000 "Basic Personal Amount" line.
The amount of this credit is now based on net income, line 23600.
If your net income on line 23600 is $150,473 or less the applicable credit will be $13,229. However, if your net income is $214,369 or more, your credit will be $12,298.
However, if your net income is between $150,473 and $214,369, the program will calculate the amount based on the worksheet and apply the non-refundable credit to line 30000.
To review the calculation, click on the "Tax Return" tab and in the column to your left, select the line "Worksheet (federal)".
