In the counter, what do the letters P, N, and E stand for?The letter P means that you have either printed or saved the specified return as a PDF file.
The letter N means that you have selected the option to transmit the specified return via NETFILE.
The letter E means that you have selected the option to transmit the specified return via EFILE.
Note: The presence of the letters N and E does not guarantee that the return has been successfully transmitted and accepted. It is only an indication that an attempt was made to electronically transmit the return to the government.
