NETFILE - Error "The NETFILE service for the tax year will open on February"The initial release of the program includes all available approved tax forms. However, certain forms and features (such as the CRA's NETFILE service) only become available later in the tax season (February or March), so it is essential that you check for updates before finalizing your tax returns. Updates can include new features, tax forms, additional documentation and other program enhancements.
You can check for updates at any time by selecting "Get Latest Updates" from the "Start" tab. Click the "check for updates" button and follow the instructions. The system will then download any available updates.
IMPORTANT! If you have a file active (open), we recommended that you save any changes before checking for updates. Once the updates have been downloaded, the program will shut down to properly install the updated files without requiring a reboot.
If you don't have an Internet connection, select "Get Latest Updates "in the "Start" tab to obtain information on how to receive your update by mail.
If you still have difficulties, please verify the date of your computer from the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
