Error - 1601 - Windows Installer service could not be accessed

This issue may occur if one of the following conditions is true:

• The Windows Installer files are damaged or are missing;
• You install or remove a program that uses the Windows Installer Microsoft Software Installation (MSI) package file.

To resolve this issue, close the Windows Installer service and then re-register it in the Registry. This procedure ensures that the Windows Installer engine is working properly.

1. Click "Start".
2. Open the "run" box (Windows key  + R).
3. Type msiexec.exe /unreg (leave a blank space between "msiexec" et "/unreg") .
4. Click "OK".
5. In the "run" box , type msiexec /regserver (leave a blank space between "msiexec" et "/regserver").
6. Click "OK".
7. Try to install the application and see if the issue persists.
