I have a client filing in Alberta and the program is not calculating the allocation of the base amount ($200,000) for the Alberta Small Business Deduction
properly for a taxation year ending in 2009. Why is that?
The program should allocate the deduction properly. As a workaround, after you entered the federal business limit you wish to allocate in the BusinessLim
keyword, calculate the return, go to Schedule 23 and note the percentage allocated to that corporation in column 5. Then in the BusinessLim keyword, use Alt+J to enter the
Alberta amount (the percentage in column 5 multiplied by 200,000 multiplied by 2).
