You can claim this credit if you meet all of the following conditions:

You were a resident of Nova Scotia on December 31, 2024

You were born in 1959 or earlier

Your taxable income from line 26000 of your return was less than $24,000
If you qualify for this credit, enter $1,000 on line 94 of your Form NS428.
If you are preparing a return for a resident of Nova Scotia who died in 2024, you can claim this credit on their final return if they were 65 years of age or older on the day of death and their taxable income was less than $24,000.
