Trustee

Use the keyword Trustee to enter the last name or the business name of the trustee who is the legal title holder to property in trust for trust beneficiaries.

The trustee is also an executor, administrator, assignee, receiver, or liquidator who owns or controls property for some other person.

If the trust is required to file Schedule 15, it must report the identity of all trustees. The schedule must be filed every year. However, entities that have been previously reported will be carried forward by the CRA. Once an entity has been reported, DT Max T3 will convert the option for this keyword in the following year to indicate that it has been reported.

To modify or remove a previously reported entity, change the option for this keyword. In both cases, the complete information on the entity must be entered.

Warning: If you do not know the year of birth, do not use "00" as a standard default for the year. DT Max would interpret this as meaning that the taxpayer was born in the year 1900, which may not be the case
