Registered pension plan - Past contributions
To claim contributions made to your RPP for past years that are
not listed on either the T4 or T4A slips, please follow the
procedure below:
1. On the "Left side menu on the Interview
tab", select "HBP, LLP and other plans and
funds".
2. On the screen to your right, choose the line
"Contributions to a registered pension plan (RPP) (not on a
T4 slips)".
3. On the page that appears, on the line "RPP current
and past services contributions" enter
the TOTAL amount of past contributions;
4. On the other fields, you must enter the information for your
situation;
5. If in previous years you had RPP
carryforward, enter them on the appropriate lines.
The amount will be carried over by the program to line 20700
of the federal return and, for Quebec residents, to line 205 of
the Quebec return.
Moreover, the program will generate the form entitled
"RPP deduction schedule" for both the federal and
the Quebec returns.
