Navigation with UFile 2021
This text aims to provide a brief overview of UFile's new look
and feel, and we are open to any suggestions from our users to make
it more accessible.
When you open the program, it will bring you to the first tab
"Start" in the upper left of the screen, in the starting
page "Start on a new tax file".
If you want to "Start on a new tax file", click on that
section. However, if you want to carry forward the data in your
file from the previous year, go to your right and click the
"Carry
Forward a 2020 tax file"
section.
If you have already used the program and want to continue to
work on the file that you have created earlier, select the screen
"Continue on recent" on your right" and you will bring up
the latest version of your file.
This feature will take you to the second tab "Interview",
to the "Family head Identification" page of the file on
which you started working.
When you are finished entering the information in your file,
click the third tab "Review". This will take you to the
"Summary" page, where you will select "Messages"
located in the "Left-side menu on the Review tab".
This page will show you the notes and diagnostics in your file.
If there is an "Error", this one will be indicated by a red
button at the bottom of the page.
If you have no errors, a note will tell you that "You are
eligible to file your federal return using NETFILE".
If you need help, click the question
mark "?" located on the far top right corner
of the screen. Click on "Support assistant" and a screen
will open. To communicate with our support group, click twice (2x)
on "Next", fill out the page and click on "Submit
request" at the bottom of the page.
However, if you wish to consult our online database, click once
on "Next" and on the page that appears, click "Web site
FAQ's" This will take you to the virtual agent site.
