Warning: Business income is being reported without
specifying the main product or service
On the "Review" tab , under the section
"Messages", you have received a message which
indicates that "Business income is being reported without
specifying the main product or service" ,and you are
unable to NetFile your Quebec tax return.
To correct this situation, follow the steps below:
1. Go back to the "Interview" tab and in the
"Left-side menu on the Interview tab".
2. Go to the "Self-employment income" and choose
the sub-menu "Business ID".
3. On the line "Products or services and their respective
percentage (%) in the total income (mandatory for a Quebec
return)", in the field on the right,
enter your main service or product and the percentage (%) produced
by your business.
To add an additional product or service click on the "plus sign
(+)" icon on the right of this field to generate another field then
click "Next" at the bottom of the page.
Note: The total percentage of all products or
services must be 100.
Go back to "Review" tab. The warning message
issued earlier should disappear once the information is entered,
and you can then submit your Quebec return via NetFile.
