Political contribution tax credit - Northwest
Territories
You can claim a credit for the contributions you made during the
tax year to a registered political party or candidate for deputy of
the Legislative Assembly of the Northwest Territories.
To claim the amount in the program, please follow these
steps:
1- On the "Left side menu on the Interview
tab", select "Northwest Territories tax
credits".
2- On the page to your right, click on the plus
"+" icon to the right of the line "NT 428
line 62550 - Northwest Territories political contributions tax
credit".
3- On the new page generated, enter the amount of contributions
in the field "Provincial eligible political
contributions" and click "Next" at the
bottom of the page.
The program will calculate the amount for the Northwest
Territories Political Contribution Tax Credit, based on your total
provincial contributions, and report it on line 62550 of the
form NT428 - Northwest Territories.
To consult the territorial worksheet, select the line
"NT Territorial worksheet" in the left side menu
under the fourth tab "Tax Return".
If your total political contributions are more than $900,
the credit will be $500 (maximum amount). If not, it will be
calculated on line 58 of the NT Provincial worksheet
from the left side menu, under the "Tax Return" tab.
