Basic personal amount - Federal line 30000
The Canada Revenue Agency has made changes to the
non-refundable credit to the 30000 "Basic Personal
Amount" line.
The amount of this credit is now based on net income, line
23600.
If your net income on line 23600 is $150,473 or
less the applicable credit will be $13,229.
However, if your net income is $214,369 or more, your
credit will be $12,298.
However, if your net income is between $150,473 and
$214,369, the program will calculate the amount based on the
worksheet and apply the non-refundable credit to line 30000.
To review the calculation, click on the "Tax Return"
tab and in the column to your left, select the line "Worksheet
(federal)".
Previously the amount of credit was fixed.
