Deemed resident
To determine your residency status, you must first contact the
CRA to obtain clarification. You may contact them by phone at
1-800-267-5177 (if calling from Canada or the United States) or by
consulting the following link:

If you are a deemed resident of Canada for tax purposes, please
follow the steps below:
1- On the left side menu of the
?Interview tab?, select
"Identification".
2- On the "Family head identification" page,
you must complete all fields.
3- For the line "Province of residence on December 31,
2019 ", select the option "Deemed
resident" from the drop-down menu and click
"Next" at the bottom of the page.
4- Enter the other required information to complete your
return.
