Political contribution tax credit - Nunavut
You can claim a refundable tax credit for political
contributions paid in the tax year to a candidate seeking election
to the Nunavut Legislative Assembly.
To claim the amount in the program, please follow these
steps:
1- On the "Left side menu on the Interview tab", select
"Nunavut tax credits".
2- On the page to your right, click on the plus
"+" icon to the right of the line "NU 479 line 63991 -
Nunavut political contributions tax credit".
3- On the new page generated, enter the amount of contributions
in the field "Provincial eligible political contributions"
and click "Next" at the bottom of the page.
The program will calculate the amount for the Nunavut Political
Contribution Tax Credit based on your total contributions and
report it to line 63991 of the form NU479 - Nunavut
credits. The maximum amount of the credit is $500.

If you are filing electronically, you should keep your receipts
in case the CRA asks for them.
