Carryforward tuition fees from previous years
You are using our software for the first time and you want to
enter your unused fees or those of your child in his new file.
Follow this procedure.
1. On the "Left-side menu on the Interview tab", select
"Interview setup".
2. On the page to your right, go to the
"Student" group, check the box "Tuition, education,
textbooks, student loans" and other groups that are needed to
complete the tax return and click "Next" at the bottom of
the page.
3. Return to the "Left-side menu of the Interview tab"
and select the heading "Tuition, education, student
loans";
4. On the screen to the right, click on
the plus sign "+"
located on the right of the line "T2202 Tuition and enrolment
certificate (TL11A and TL11S) (line 32300)";
5. On the page that appears, go to the section "Unused
tuition and education amounts from prior years";
6. For the federal government, choose the line "Unused
tuition and education amounts from prior years - federal".
For residents of Quebec, you have the choice between two
options: at the rate of 20% or at the rate of 8%. You must choose
the appropriate option according to your notice of assessment from
Revenu Québec.
