TP- 776.1.ND-V - Recent graduates working in remote
resource regions
Since March 20th, 2012, you may be entitled to the tax credit
for new graduates working in remote resource region, which is a
cumulative amount of $10,000, if you meet the following
conditions:
a) You were resident in a remote resource region of Québec, as
of December 31 of the taxation year.
b) You worked in a remote resource region.
c) Your duties were related to the specialty area for which you
received training during your degree.
d) You started a job within 24 months of the date you received
your degree.
e) You have been entitled to this tax credit for a previous year
and you resided in a remote resource region of Québec as of
December 31 of the taxation year.

To enter your tax credit, please follow these steps:
1- On the left side menu of
the " Interview " tab, select
"Interview setup".
2- On the page on your right, go to the "Other topics"
group, check the box for " Other deductions and credits
(including school supply and home buyers amount) " and
click "Next" at the bottom of the page.
3- Return to the left side menu on
the " Interview " tab, select
"Other deductions and credits".
4- On the screen on your right, you have two (2) choices: select
the first " Quebec line 392 - Credit for recent graduates
working in remote resource regions (first year)" if this
is your first application. If this is not the case, select
" Quebec line 392 - Credit for recent graduates working in
remote resource regions (claimed previously) ".
a) If this is your first application and you chose "(first
year)", enter all the relevant information on this page and for
the line "Eligible income received in the current year
(TP-776.1.ND)", choose the option that suits you in the
drop-down menu. In the box to the right, enter the total salary
earned from your employer in this remote resource region.
b) If you have already claimed this credit and chose the
second option, enter the credit claimed for each applicable
year in the section "Year and amount claimed for new
graduate tax credit". Then, fill in the remaining relevant
fields.
c) If you have worked for several employers in the taxation year,
click on " Add another + " at the bottom right
corner of the page and another field will open. Enter the
relevant information.
The program will generate the form TP- 776.1.ND-V reporting
all the credit information, and the amount on line 22 of this form
will be reported by the program to line 392 of the Quebec
return.
