Foreign employment income - Canadian employer
If you received a T4 slip for employment income earned in
Canada, go to "T4 and employment income" section.
To enter foreign employment income, please follow the steps
below:
1. On the left-side menu in the "Interview tab",
select "Interview setup".
2. On the page appearing on the right, go to "Investment
incomes and expenses" group, check the box for "Foreign
income or foreign property (T1135)" and click "Next" at
the bottom of the page.
3. Return to the left-side menu in the "Interview tab",
select "Foreign income & property" and on the page to
your right, click on
the plus "+" icon for
"Foreign employment income"
4. On the page that is generated, enter information such as the
country in which the income was earned, as well as the exchange
rate if necessary.
5. If you received a T4 slip from your Canadian employer, enter
the amount already entered on your T4 slip.
6. Thereafter, enter the relevant information to complete the
page.
