I just finished filing a tax return for a prior tax
year, why is there no information in my current tax year
account?
UFile currently carry forward in batches; purchased accounts, or
free accounts due to one of our promotions, that were prepared and
completed to generate a return before mid -January of the current
year, for the previous tax year only. If you have recently
completed your 2018 tax return your account was not carried
forward.
To complete and file your 2019 return you will have to enter in
any carry forward information from last year manually. To
know what information needs to be entered we recommend you save the
PDF version of your prior year's return for review.
In the 2018 PDF file, please look at the section named "Summary
of carry forwards" in the "Tax diagnostic" section. This gives
you the carry forwards from 2018 for the 2019 tax year.
