Medical expenses - Attendant care services
The program applies the appropriate provincial and federal
limits for specific medical expenses that are not claimed
elsewhere.
If all the conditions are met, in addition to the disability
amount, you may claim up to $10,000 (or $20,000 in the year of
death) for medical expenses that were paid for part-time or
full-time attendant care provided in Canada. To claim these
expenses using the program, please follow these steps:
1- On the "Left side menu of the Interview tab", select
"Medical, disability, caregiver" and on the screen to your
right, choose "Medical expenses".
2- On the section entitled "Specified medical expenses (not
claimed elsewhere)", choose the line "Cost of attendant
care" and enter the amount.
