Charitable donations - Ecological gifts
The federal government has extended the carry-forward period to
10 years for donations of ecologically sensitive land made after
February 10, 2014.
For Quebec residents this period was extended to 10 years after
February 11, 2014.
However, for ecological gifts made prior to February 10,
2014, the carry-forward period remains at five (5) years.
