Past service contributions after 1989 - RPP
To claim contributions made for past years after
1989 to your RPP that are not listed on either the T4
or T4A slips, please follow the procedure below:
1. On the "Left-side menu on the Interview
tab", select "T4 and employment
income".
2. On the screen to your right, for Quebec
residents, choose the option "T4 and RL-1 (Relevé
1) income earned in Quebec". For any other province or
territory residents, choose ''T4 income (earned in any
province except Quebec)''.
3. On the page that appears, scroll down the page and choose
''Other information (click on the triangle to see the list
of choices)'', then click on the line ''RPP for
post-1989 past service contributions NOT included in box
20'', and, in the right-hand field, enter the amount of
your RPP contribution.
The amount will be carried over by the program to line 20700
of the federal return and, for Quebec residents, to line 205 of
the Quebec return.
Moreover, the program will generate the form entitled
"RPP deduction schedule" for both the federal and
the Quebec returns.
