Political contribution tax credit -
Saskatchewan
You can claim a credit for political contributions you made in
the tax year to a registered Saskatchewan political party or to an
independent candidate in a Saskatchewan provincial election.
You may claim the credit only if the contributions amounts are
displayed on official receipts issued for the applicable tax year.
Furthermore, the amounts on these receipts must be at least
$25.
To claim the amount in the program, please follow these
steps:
1- On the "Left side menu on the Interview
tab", select "Saskatchewan tax
credits".
2- On the page to your right, click on the plus
"+" icon to the right of the line "SK 428
line 63554 - Saskatchewan political contributions tax
credit".
3- On the new page generated, enter the amount of contributions
in the field "Provincial eligible political
contributions" and click "Next" at the
bottom of the page.
The program will calculate the amount for the Saskatchewan
Political Contribution Tax Credit, based on your total provincial
contributions, and report it to line 63554 of the form
SK428 - Saskatchewan Tax.
If your total political contributions are more than
$1,275, the credit will be $650 (maximum amount). If
not, it will be calculated on line 63 of the SK
Provincial worksheet from the left side menu, under the "Tax
Return" tab.
To consult the provincial worksheet, select the line "SK
Provincial worksheet" in the left side menu under the
fourth tab "Tax Return".

in case the CRA asks for them.
