Ontario Seniors' Public Transit Tax Credit
If you are 65 years of age or older at the beginning of the tax
year and you live in Ontario on December 31, 2019, you may claim
this credit.
You can claim up to $3,000 in eligible public transit expenses
and receive a refundable credit up to $450.
Before declaring the public transit costs, verify if the
services are eligible by visiting the following link:

Note: Specialized transit services for
persons with disabilities are eligible.
Only you can claim the cost of your public transportation
services.
To claim this refundable credit, please follow the following
procedure:
1. On the left side menu on the "Interview
tab" select the "Other deductions and
credits".
2. On the right-hand side of the screen, click on
the plus "+" icon
to the right of the line "ON479 line 63100 -
Ontario seniors' public transit tax
credit".
3. On the page generated enter the "Description and amount
paid to use eligible public transit services in
2019". (To add another line, click
the "+" at the right of the screen).
4. This amount will be reported by the program on
line 63100 of the "Ontario
Credits ON479" form.
The refundable credit will be entered on
line 47900 of the Federal return.

able to provide them on request.
